Here you can see a procedure to save the main data from the Micro5 and the Feed5 before sending it to the client.
This procedure must also be used before doing an update of the machine by the client.
In addition to this email there is also a diagram to show globally the network architecture of the Micro5 and Feed5 (Network_V2.png).
In addition to this email there is also the electrical diagram of the Micro5 :
- Serie 1 (Machine #18 and #19)
- Serie 2 (Machine #31, #33, #34 and #36), you have to check exactly which version you have.
There is an internal electrical diagram version and a client version.
Backup of the Micro5
0) Connection to the machine
Connect your laptop to the machine using a RJ45 cable (LAN port on the Micro5, if it is blocked you can open the Micro5 electrical cabinet and connect directly to the router)
Configure the IP address of the port you are using on your laptop like this :
IP : 192.168.200.xxx (xxx must be between 2 and 99)Mask : 255.255.255.0Default gateway : 192.168.200.1
You can then access to the files of the Micro5 with your Windows explorer with this link :
\\192.168.200.100\c$
Or you can access to the machine with the remote desktop :
Computer : 192.168.200.100User : AdministratorPassword : 1
Then you can start to work on the Micro5
1) Create a folder "Backups" in the folder C:/TwinCAT/Backups
2) Create a folder "Backups_xxx_yyyy_mm_dd"
xxx = letters of the name (example Sébastien Debons = SDe)
yyyy = year mm = month dd = day
3) Save all the files/folders from the Micro5:
I) Folder : Boot --> in C:\TwinCAT\3.1\ // Folder with the boot files
II) Folder : License--> in C:\TwinCAT\3.1\Target\ // Folder with the license files
III) Folder : Resource--> in C:\TwinCAT\3.1\Target\ // Folder with all the resources (Error files, ...)
IV) Folder : HMI --> in C:\ // Folder with the HMI
V) Folder : NC --> in C:\ // Folder with the NC files
VI) Folder : Libraries --> in C:\TwinCAT\ // Folder with the libraries installed on the PLC
VII) Folder : TwinSAFE--> in C:\ // Folder with the TwinSAFE loader (to configure the SAFETY groups)
VIII) Folder : StartUp--> in C:\TwinCAT\3.1\Target\ // Folder with the programs that are started when TwinCAT is initialized
IX) Create a "SCARA" folder and screenshot all the saved positions (PNG) from the SCARA teaching page // Folder for the SCARA teached positions
Screenshot all the position like this and save it as xxx.png (xxx = Position number) :
X) Screenshot the following informations and put it in the backup folder :
- File Version.png --> HMI in Administrator --> Home page/Settings/System // To see the versions installed- File CNC.png --> HMI in Administrator --> All the CNC page // To have some data about the CNC use (time, temperature, current, ID, ...)
- File System.png On the web browser --> localhost/config/Device/System (User : Administrator, Password : 1) // To see the basic informations about the PLC
- File Connectivity.png On the web browser --> localhost/config/Device/Connectivity (User : Administrator, Password : 1) // To see the network configuration - File TwinCAT.png On Windows desktop--> Windows taskbar --> right click on TwinCAT icon --> click // To see the TwinCAT informations
At the end you will have a folder like this :
XI) Then you can save a copy of this backup folder in our google drive system (one copy must stay on the Micro5) :
- Shared drive/Assistance/M401 SN xxxxxx-Assistance-Client/Software/90-Backup (xxxxxx = serial number of the machine)
4) Save the Triamec configuration
I) Open the TAM explorer software (https://www.triamec.com/en/tam-software-support.html ) on a laptop
II) Disconnect the RJ45 cable and connect a mini USB to the first Triamec drive (X-B) in the electrical cabinet to the laptop
III) Scan the devices, normally you must have the following view
IV) Click on TSD80E-X-B on then save the configuration on your computer as #xxx_Drive_n_yyyy.mm.dd (.TAMcfg file)
xxx = Micro5 number n = drive number (1 : Drive X-B, 2 : Drive Y-C, 3 : Drive Z-Spindle)
yyyy = year mm = month dd = day
V) Repeat the operation for the other drives (Y-C and Z-Spindle)
VI) Then you can transfer these drives configurations in our google drive system (.TAMcfg files)
- Shared drive/Assistance/M401 SN xxxxxx-Assistance-Client/Software/20-Triamec/yyyy.mm.dd (xxxxxx = serial number of the machine)
yyyy = year mm = month dd = day
5) Save the PLC image with Acronys
I) Shutdown the Micro5
II) Plug a Acronys USB key in the PLC and a USB key or SSD disk
III) Start the Micro5 again and do a backup of the PLC image with Acronys (normally your commissioning team do the same on your machines)
IV) Then you can transfer the image in our google drive system
- Shared drive/Assistance/M401 SN xxxxxx-Assistance-Client/Software/90-Backup/yyyy.mm.dd (xxxxxx = serial number of the machine)
yyyy = year mm = month dd = day
6) Take some picture
I) Take some picture of the Micro5
- Exterior of the machine (back, front, lateral)
- Electrical cabinet
- Behind the machining area
- SCARA area
- Machining area
- Electrical cabinet
- Under the machining area (chips tray)
II) Put them on our google drive system
- Shared drive/Assistance/M401 SN xxxxxx-Assistance-Client/10-Photos/yyyy.mm.dd (xxxxxx = serial number of the machine)
yyyy = year mm = month dd = day
Backup of the Feed5

At the end you will have a folder like this :
Then you can save a copy of this folder in our google drive system (one copy must stay on the Feed5) :
- Shared drive/Assistance/M421 SN xxxxxx-Assistance-Client/Software/40-Backup (xxxxxx = serial number of the machine)
4) Take some picture
I) Take some picture of the Feed5
- Exterior of the machine (back, front, lateral)
