Adjusting the microlubrication

As an option, the Micro5 is equipped with a microlubrication system which is particularly well suited to high-speed machining (HSM). The system is supplied mounted in the lower left-hand area (pneumatic part) of the Micro5 and preset to ensure good performance for machining in most typical situations.

Nevertheless, depending on the production-specific constraints (material, speed, finishing, etc.), it may be useful to adjust some settings in order to optimize lubrication to perfectly match the requirements.

Parameters are controlled directly by the Micro5

• Starting and stopping lubrication

• Oil dosage (number of pulses per minute)
  --> Determines the concentration of oil in the supply air

Parameters adjusted directly on the lubrication module

• Dosing volume
  Determines the volume of oil per pulse by adjusting the position of the pumping piston. 
  The adjustment range is from 0 to 0.0155 ml/pulse (5 rotations)

• Spray air
  Determines the total supply rate. At a supply pressure of 6 bar, one revolution corresponds to 50 Nl/min. The flow rate is adjustable from 0 -150 Nl/min (3 rotations).
