Normal stop

In order to preserve the integrity of the system and data, the system must be shut down properly.

Prerequisite:

  • The machining programs are completed

  • All data has been saved

  • Removable data storage devices have been ejected (USB keys, etc.)

  • The parts have been unloaded

  • A tool is present in the spindle and the tie rod is retracted (rest)

  • The machine is cleaned and the doors are closed

Steps to take:

  1. From the command screen, click on "Shut down the system"..

  2. Wait until the entire system goes into standby and the display shows "the system can now be safely powered down."

  3. Turn the main power switch on the back of the machine counterclockwise to the "OFF - O" position

Depending on the case, the following points must also be taken into account

  • For a stop before transporting the machine, even over a short distance:

    • Unload all tools and store them in suitable packaging (transport case, trays, etc.)

    • Unload all disks and store them in suitable packaging (transport case, pockets, etc.)

    • Unload the gripper (if present)

    • Position the SCARA arm in a safe position and immobilize it

  • For a shutdown lasting more than 30 days, perform the following operations in addition:

    • Drain liquids: machining and cooling oils (if present), microlubrication oil (if present)

    • Protect polycarbonate surfaces from UV rays to avoid yellowing (opaque film, do not apply adhesive)

When the system is powered off, it is no longer possible to open the doors to the machining and storage areas (SCARA).

Risk of damage to the spindle rod

In order to protect the cone from contamination and to avoid sr-deformation of the socket, before switching off the machine or during a prolonged stoppage (> 2 hours), it is necessary to fit a tool in the spindle and to release the tie rod (locked position).
